West Hollywood, California (March 14, 2023) — Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, community leaders and new residents celebrated the grand opening of West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation’s (WHCHC) all-new affordable apartment community, Berendo Sage, on Friday, March 10, 2023.

West Hollywood, California (March 14, 2023) — Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, community leaders and new residents celebrated the grand opening of West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation’s (WHCHC) all-new affordable apartment community, Berendo Sage, on Friday, March 10, 2023.

Located in the Koreatown/Pico-Union neighborhoods of Los Angeles, Berendo Sage provides 42 high-quality affordable rental apartments for families with limited income, with 21 units reserved as permanent supportive housing for households who have experienced homelessness.

The UBC team enjoyed its “ Polka in Paradise” summer picnic this year under sunny skies in Malibu.

Along with Hollywood Community Housing Corporation we celebrated the topping off event at Palm Vista which will create 91 apartments for homeless and low-income households in Winnetka.

With the curtailment of Covid restrictions throughout Los Angeles, UBC sponsored another one of our UBC Team Appreciation luncheons at our Berendo building in Koreatown.

Here, at these events, we say THANK YOU to our subcontractors, our field team and all the hardworking professionals that, each and very day, work to expand the City’s supply of affordable housing for families, seniors, Veterans of the U.S. Military, those experiencing homelessness, as well as to each community in which we build!
